How to Effectively Apply Foundation

Laying foundation on the face is an area where most women have difficulties. Foundation is the base of applying make up. Makeup would not be complete without applying foundation first. Laying foundation is one way of helping us in making our face smooth and clear. Incorrect application of a foundation can lead to a clown-looking face or caked on appearance, which you do not want to happen to you.

Application of foundation is not as hard as you think. the hardest part about applying foundation is choosing a foundation that is right for you. Most companies have a wide selection of foundation colors ranging from fair to ebony. Once you’ve chosen a foundation, the hard part is over. To do this, test foundations along your jaw line. You will know the best color because it will disappear into your skin and match completely

Mineral makeup offers adjustable coverage, and women really love being able to use as much or as little as they want. Using the right tools is paramount when learning how to apply foundation makeup. The Kabuki brush provides the face with a flawless finish in a matter of a few minutes and it is used primarily to apply the mineral makeup foundation.

When applying foundation to your face, dab it on your hands and pat it on to your forehead, cheekbones, the tip of your nose and your chin. Blend it in. For the fragile area around the eyes, tap and blend in a mere trace of foundation with your little finger using an inward motion under the eyes. Do not forget to extend the foundation over the jaw line and neck so that you do not leave a line.

Applying the foundation only requires a circular motion with the Kabuki brush and a buffing motion. The mineral makeup can be easily applied by working the brush bristles from the outer edge of the face inward in a circular motion. The mineral makeup will have to be reloaded into the brush at some point since the face is a large canvas to cover.

Typically, the color of your neck will be a tad lighter than your face. Invest in a fresh pack of cosmetic sponges before you head home. Wash your face clean of all debris and prep your sponge with a dime-sized amount of the foundation you chose. Starting on the bridge of your nose, sweep the sponge downward, swooping down the sides of your nose past your nostrils.

If you are happy to give mineral foundation products a try, then you need to know how to apply it to the skin properly so that you end up with a flawless complexion. Make up for black women can be notorious for the funny shades that can result in poorly blended powders. However, if you choose wisely you can end up with a perfect result.

The reason why applying makeup foundation is important is to get that even finish to your look. Depending on your preference you can use both liquid and compact foundations for your makeup.
